Ceuta (Sebta) and Melilla

Spain still holds Ceuta (Sebta) and Melilla, which is on Moroccan territory. Ceuta has a population of about 76,600 and Melilla has a population of about 69,400. These territories were captured and held by Spain since the 1400's. In recent years, double fence barriers six meters tall were built around the two Spanish enclaves to prevent illegal immigration. Ground sensors. Ceuta and Melilla are used by African immigrants to sneak into Spain.
