Fought the 1969 “Football War” or “100 Hours War” with Honduras.

1979-1992 Civil War
Right Wing government of El Salvador counter-insurgency against the FMLN and other left wing guerrillas. The U.S. supported the government of El Salvador with military equipment and military trainers and advisers. Government death squads were responsible for killing or “disappearing” thousands of Salvadoran guerrillas, left leaning activists, and even priest.
