07 December 1941- The Japanese attack on the U.S. Navy stationed at Pearl Harbor in Hawaii causes the U.S. to enter the side of the allies during World War 2.

Japan is only allowed to only possess defensive weapons. No Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles (ICBM), strategic bomber aircraft, or attack aircraft carriers are permitted.

A self imposed ban on the export of Japanese weapons has been relaxed by the government of Japan allowing for the export of certain weapons to friendly nations.
